UFC 130 131 132 main events changed

Lately we've seen a lot of big fights fall to the wayside due to injuries, from settles to be scored, to life threatening injuries, and then to championship fights getting called off, all within the next 3 UFC Pay Per Views

UFC 130
Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard
with weeks left til fight night both fighters announce they we're dropping out of the fight, Frankie Edgar pulled out due to a Back and Rib injury, and Maynard withdrew due to a knee injury. With both fighters pulling out of the fight they left us with a Main Eventless Pay Per View, the highly anticipated 3rd fight is just going to have to wait.

UFC 131
Brock Lesnar vs Junior Dos Santos
Coaches of the TUF 13 season, the heavyweights were set to throw down at UFC 131 next month. After Brock's loss to Cain Valasquez he got another chance to fight for the #1 contender spot against Junior Dos Santos a heavyweight that truly fought through the ranks for his spot. MMA Media recently covered Brock's withdrawal from his bout with JDS due to a second struggle with diverticulitis, Shane Carwin steps up in Brock's place.

BJ Penn vs Jon Fitch 2
Like the Edgar Maynard fight BJ Penn and Jon Fitch's last fight ended in a draw, the rematch was set to take place at UFC 132 but again both fighters withdrew from the competition due to injuries, Penn due to a injured shoulder and no information was given about the injury to Fitch, but they did pull out months before this bout in July so my guess is its serious.

Rampage Jackson vs Matt Hamill was originally set for the co main event, due to the main event being canceled their fight moved into the main event, although that fight isn't much of a main event I guess we'll just have to do.

UFC 131 actually got better in my opinion, nothing against Brock Lesnar he's a beast I just don't believe in him when it comes to real MMA just my opinion though, Carwin vs JDS is a much better fight and I'm happy with it and wish Brock Lesnar health and recovery.

I wanted to see BJ Penn vs Jon Fitch way more than Edgar vs Maynard so even though I wasn't disappointed by Edgar Maynard I was really looking forward to the Penn Fitch rematch, stepping into the main event is Dominick Cruz vs Urijah Faber a bantam weight fight headlining a UFC event but still those bantamweights scrap so sure to be exciting.

Its extremely disappointing as a fan but we still gotta remember this is a full contact sport and injuries are inevitable it just sucks its 3 main events in a row.
