For those who didn't see last weeks episode of TUF we got treated to an up kick knockout, an assistant coach got sent packing, and a wild card selection upset.
Last week on TUF we saw the last two preliminary fights which were Tony Ferguson vs Justin Edwards and Chuck O'Neil vs Zach Davis
Tony Ferguson vs Justin Edwards was a flat out slug fest both fighters were throwing and landing hard combinations, the fight ended up on the ground were Justin Edwards looked like he was trying to time a shot all the while Ferguson was throwing up kicks when one landed that dropped Edwards, before that the fight was so back and forth and very fast paced
Chuck O'Neil vs Zach Davis was another good fight, Davis came out and applied alot of pressure to O'Neil with the clinch, punches and take downs, O'Neil was staying busy looking for submissions, O'Neil went for a kamura that got the fight to the ground with him on top, but he made a mistake and got caught in a triangle choke which is Chuck O'Neils bread and butter.
Earlier in the show Junior Dos Santos had to have several talks with Lew Polley about knowing his role as the assistant coach, Lew didn't seem to understand and ended up getting sent home by Junior you could watch the clip of Lew's reaction to this on youtube. This being the first time an assistant coach was asked to leave.
After the preliminary fights the coaches and Dana White got together to talk about who will be fighting in the Wild Card match. The announcement of who was fighting in the wildcard round was a surprise to Len Bentley who supposedly fought harder then everyone and deserved the chance more than anyone according to himself..Instead Chuck O'Neil and Javier Torres were selected to fight for the Wild Card.
