Anthony Showtime Pettis Bamboozled

Anthony Showtime Pettis is nothing short of his nickname, He posseses some of the flashiest kicks in recent MMA and sports a 13-1 record. He is also the WEC Light Weight Champion after defeating Ben Henderson in a 5 round war you might remember the kick he landed to Ben Henderson's face running off the cage. After UFC's absorption of the WEC lighter weight classes the WEC and UFC belt have to be unified, that put Anthony Pettis in line to fight the winner of the Frankie Edgar Graymaynard matchup at UFC 125, but the outcome of that fight was a draw which left UFC President Dana White in a little bit of a situation. After such a "controversial decision" how could he not give Maynard an immediate rematch? Dana White confirmed in an interview that Maynard will get another shot at the champ, and it is still unclear of what Pettis will be doing in the mean time.

Now I'm trying to figure out what the fk is Dana White thinking when he gave Gray Maynard an immediate rematch? Its understandable that that's probably a tough one to swollow for Maynard but I think that if you dont win you lose, he didn't beat Edgar so he lost, dont give the guy another chance when you have something more important like unifying the WEC UFC Light Weight title belts and probably a more entertaining fight between Edgar and Pettis. I think Maynard got his chance and blew it..but I'm not the president of the ufc so what do I know..

What do you guys think of Dana White's decision to give Maynard an immediate rematch? Do you agree with me? or with Dana?
